Mathematics & Statistics Club

MARCH 20-21

Saturday March 20th 10am to 2pm

The Math and Stats Club runs events for students in the Mathematics and Statistics Department, catering to both majors and minors. We help students in the Mathematical Science program get involved within the department and at recruiting events. Throughout the past years we have run games nights, Grad Talks, stress busters, College Royal events, and other exciting events.

At College Royal this year we will be running a fun Mental Math Challenge for anyone who wants to test out their quick math skills in a fun and encouraging environment!

Live Event

We will have one channel for a waiting room / Q&A with Math and Stats Club execs and two Microsoft Teams channels with additional Math and Stats Club execs for different levels of math related questions. One geared more towards children and a second geared towards adults.

If there is one person/participating group in the channel, then they will have 1 minute to answer as many questions correctly as they can.

If there are two or more people/participating groups in the channel, then questions will be revealed one at a time (through a shared screen) for 30 seconds, the first person/group to answer 5 correct wins.

(participating group(s) = a connected device to the live chat that has more than one person. Think like three roommates, or four siblings all on one computer at the event)
