OAC Poultry Club

MARCH 20-21

The University of Guelph Poultry Club is a student run group which strives to promote interest in the poultry industry. Started in 2009 our group consists of members ranging from those who have lived on farms all their lives to those who own a few backyard chickens and those who have never touched a live chicken before. Our club is based on all types of poultry including Broilers, Layers, Breeders, Turkeys and Ducks.

We host bi-weekly meetings with guest speakers, provide hands on experiences, frequent tours and attend industry events to learn more about all aspects of poultry. One of the most hands-on experiences our club offers is an artificial insemination course. One of the missions and responsibilities of our club is to maintain and breed the four historic pure line parent breeds of layers that have been generously donated by Dr. Donald Shaver.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the club please email [email protected] and we will be happy to answer your questions!
